Renne Emiko Brock-Richmond is an artist, instructor, and superhero promoting the importance of creative education and community participation in the arts that are active and inclusive. Always teaching that being an artist is a profession, she is one of the founders of smARTies – Smart Art Instruction and created Burning Down The House Creative Collective to foster entrepreneurship, education, and produce collaborative opportunities for artists.

Renne teaches art, computer, digital media, and social media use through Peninsula College, is a Lecturer and Education Mentor for the University of Washington Certificate in Virtual Worlds Program, conducts workshops for TechSoup Global on branding, marketing, and social media networking, she taught digital arts and graphic design at Monterey Peninsula College, and taught fine art application, craft and cultural projects, and interactive web journalism at the Monterey Museum of Art and the Lyceum of Monterey County.
Renne teaches independent lectures and workshops in fine art and craft, digital arts, virtual world expression, branding, marketing, social media, website design, and community building. She has been teaching Photoshop professionally since 1993 and designing her clothes since age 3.
Owner of unique as you, Renne is a graphic artist, website designer, color consultant, social media sensei, virtual world developer and project manager, instructional designer, and community event producer that dedicated to creating engaging experiences with innovative identity packages and promotion for nonprofits, educational institutions, community events, businesses, and artists.
Renne is an active Arts advocate in the physical and virtual world and has established, produced, and supported creative networks, events, and nonprofits by facilitating collaborative connections among artists, educational institutions, organizations, and the community. Renne is the President of Sequim Humanities and Arts Alliance, the Producer of the First Friday Art Walk Sequim and North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival, and, creates art, apparel, and virtual goods that embrace the empowerment of brilliant hues, individualism, and acceptance. She as won awards for her volunteerism and creativity most notably the Individual Significantly Contributing to the Arts Award from Pacific Grove Arts Commission and Pacific Grove Friends of the Arts in 1997.
