Workshop Description: This seminar is geared toward the beach lover! Filled with the lore of pirates, mermaids and shipwrecks, this colorful lecture features photography and interesting tales of bottle history and sea glass identification. MB will share her lifelong journey of beachcombing travel as one of the world’s top sea glass collectors. Sea glass specimens from around the globe will be shown along with descriptions of color rarity and what makes for a highly sought after sea glass gem. On display will be sea glass art, jewelry, photography and baskets of the world’s finest pieces.
Students Will:
- Learn about identifying sea glass.
- Get hunting and collecting tips.
- Study the color rarity scale.
- Touch and feel baskets of pieces from all over the world.
- See the “Around the World with Sea Glass” Powerpoint presentation.
- Have hands-on with sea glass books, photos and art.
- Sea glass Q&A time.
